#4 Sai Ngam

I used to post this before at my blog at livjeournal.com :) This place is Sai Ngam in Nakornsrithamaraat. This kind of plant called in Thai Ton Sai which has their root grew from their branches and when they've lived in group; the roots and branches entwined to one another as you see :) In the past there were no pillars to help to burden the heavy; nowadays this place was quite damaged along time. It's a pity that no one try to improve this wonderful fairy tale-like place...

#3 A library

I was motivated to post this right away I've just updated the latest one.

The corner's tempting to take a pic. I love its solemn look.

#2 It begins with this

well it took so long, till I'm writing the second update...

I was fascinated by those picture-posting blogs because I love photographing so I decided this will be my own one.. though I am not good at it. I may write about my opinion on things sometimes. But appropriate time for doing rather comes slow...

What am I gonna update now is.. umm ok names in THAI, that's what I wanted to write, by the way.

I think many foreigners like a lot of you guys might wonder why Thai people's names are so long. lol They just are but not quite every of them is. Sometimes you'll find that our names are quite hard or too long to speak out. We feel that too. So Thais have their own nickname. The Thai nickname is anything that sounds fine and is not related to their names mostly. For instance one of my old friend's name, who was in the same elementary school, Siriwan. It means a woman who is beautiful. But her nickname is Pang, mean straightly flour in English. Yeah. You can pick anything around you to name your kid by not regarding its meaning. However, it's neccesary to sounds OKAY and not quite weird in sense of Thai people, like Pla means fish(yeah there are many people named fish), Ploy or Praew means jewel, Maew means cat. These are the name of girls. Let us see boys' names then; Klong means camera, Ball means ball(yeah), Bank(uh huh) and so on. Well some are derived from the foreign language, too :p

Nowadays many parents mostly trend to name their kids with names that are from words in foreign languages(which sounds nice) such as Japanese and English which is quite popular. Like Cherry, Pizza or Sushi etc. and apparently English name; Mike, Nice and so on :)

Another classmate of mine has real name in Bali or Sansakrit hmm I don't know. She said that means sky so that her mother gave her nickname Meikah(เมฆะ/เมฆา) in Bali which can call shortly in Thai Make(เมฆ)

Yeah.. ^^ this is how Thai naming is unique. I don't know if there's any other name in the world that are as unique as one. I think most of you used to think playfully of naming your kids in future, if you get married; which name you would give them? hehe
